i've been following the lance armstrong debacle, although i'm not really interested in sports.
it's interesting how at first it was hard to believe that he was guilty of doping, because of his public image.
it seems, though, that the evidence is overwhelming.

Does their inability to simply let people leave without repercussions fit in harmony with abusive people a la obsessive stalker types or abusive husbands that would kill their wife before letting them get a legal seperation? Its like they just cant help but make people's lives hell. The WT is on some obsessive husband schtick like, "I'll never let you leave me honey, never. I'll kill you before you do that because I love you too much. I just cant live without you."

one would think that the god of gods, the creator of everything who wanted to give we puny little humans a handbook for salvation(tm), would make sure that handbook remained authentic.. one who thinks that way would be wrong.. since punctuation is critical to convey exact meanings, i find it strange that the god of gods would pick a written language for his handbook that has no punctuation!

I think you're right, but man do I hate it. You can see the lack of originality and creativity in the writing department because that style has been present for the past handful of decades. I'm sure whomever initiated that style died or went senile years ago, and yet, they still abuse exclamation points ask self examination questions on behalf of the reader as if he's not capable of making an informed decision.

I was thinking back to my late teens and early twenties and how all the JWs of the same age all had mutual aquaintences amongst the various cliques throughout the circuit. It wasn't unlikely that a sister or brother that one had a brief fling with ended up with another aquaintence, even a close friend. At that age it wouldnt be a stretch for one to still have strong feelings for the one that got away even if the individual was able to procure a wife or husband for themselves.
